About Me:
As the Founder of the National Association of Divorce for Women and Children, Joanie's passion is to help women be the best they can be as well as become role models for their children and community. Her mission is to provide women with the support and encouragement to move their lives forward and live the life they desire and deserve.

The National Association of Divorce for Women and Children, a 24/7 Resource Center, was created not only because of the lack of support and guidance Joanie experienced after her divorce, but for the many women who experience the same challenges.

Joanie became a successful entrepreneur and business owner of a True Value Hardware store at the age of twenty five. After eighteen years in the retail arena, she embarked on a professional career as a speaker/ trainer, business/personal coach specializing in divorce, Certified Behavior Specialist, and a Certified Laughter Leader. Joanie is also the Divorce Specialist for the National Association of Baby Boomers.

She speaks around the country and her diverse clientele is in the manufacturing, retail, health care, non-profit sector, high tech, and education industries. She is author of Rising to the Top, A Guide to Self Development and hosts her own radio show called The Happy Wednesday Broadcast.

She is also the Founder of the non-profit Happy Wednesday Foundation whose mission is to provide a healthy lifestyle for all children, women and families through educational programs and affordable housing.

Joanie is a proud mom of two children- Kristy, 27, a Doctor of Audiology and Michael, 23. a graduate of Bentley College.

Dear Joanie,

I am delighted ot know about your work and look forward to learning more. Tomorrow I'm offering a workshop in jail, one of my favorite venues as I have the opportunity to address about 200 men who are domestic violence inmates. Warm regards, Susan Allan

21st Century Parenting Plans

I remember when the default custody arrangement had one parent as the custodial parent, and the other parent was known as the “Disneyland parent.” They had their children every other weekend, and maybe once during the week for dinner. Today it is more common to see joint parenting time consist of one week on, and one week off or “two-two-five-five” time,…See More

Including a Financial Professional in Your Mediation

Very often, couples who are divorcing amicably, or who have straightforward financial situations, will forgo meeting with a financial professional while they go through mediation.
