About Me:
Hi there, I am a counsellor/Life coach with a field of interest in Teens, Parenting, Single Parenting and Divorce related issues.
Having struggled through my own life’s challenges I awakened to the realization and importance of parenting after divorce.
My aim is to provide divorcing parents with the support and solutions best adapted to both their personalities in order to help them re-look their pattern of communications and better their relationship as co-parents.
There isn't anything more rewarding than the privilege of having children.
If what you truly want is the best for your children, do the right thing for them, even if it means compromising some parts of your life.

Do whatever you need to have your children experience the love they deserve from both parents.
You owe it to them.

I love your answer in the Forum Nadia. Very well put.

Yes, I think we all agree here that a paradigm shift is in order - and we are each a part of it!

Peaceful Divorce is a movement, and we are thrilled that it is global. Please feel free to contribute blog posts or articles, and I will be happy to feature them on the main page!

Hi Nadia:

Thanks for inviting me to be a friend!

I was in your beautiful country in May for almost the entire month! I fell completely in love with Africa. I was working and teaching most of the time but I did make it to the Bush for several days! I am hooked; and totally transformed.

I look forward to getting to know you.

Warm regards,
Jackie

Hi Nadia -

It is a thought-provoking question!

The place that each of us finds our "piece of the peaceful divorce puzzle" is within ourselves.

It seems to me like a part of your piece of the puzzle is "to provide divorcing parents with the support and solutions best adapted to both their personalities in order to help them re-look their pattern of communications and better their relationship as co-parents." (your words!) :-)

Together, with each of our unique messages, we can (and will) change the way the world divorces. Once you feel comfortable with your answer, we'd love to read it on the Forum!

Warm regards,

Cynthia

Hi Cynthia and thanks for the warm welcome. I'm a bit "puzzled" by my missing piece? Where am I supposed to find this piece of puzzle?

The Grey Divorce

Perhaps you’ve heard about the phenomenon known as the “grey divorce” and are wondering what it’s all about. An important study conducted by the Department of Sociology and the National Center for Family and Marriage Research at Bowling Green State University entitled “The Grey Divorce Revolution” addressed this issue. Elder Care Mediation

I recently attended a conference for The Academy of Professional Family Mediators in Memphis, Tennessee. One of the workshops I participated in was on elder care mediation, which gave some fascinating insights. A 2001 study, done by Debra B. Gentry, showed nearly 40% of adult children providing care for their parents reported serious conflict with siblings, usually related to a lack of sufficient help from those siblings. This study…See More

The Difference Between Litigation and Mediation: It's Personal

People have a range of preconceptions about divorce, the law, and the courts. In reality, going before a judge to air your grievances about your soon-to-be ex-spouse is rarely as satisfying as movies and television shows may have you believe. Mediation offers a private, cost-efficient alternative to litigation—but before you choose either venue, there are some guiding principles to keep in mind:Don't expect…See More
