Profile Information

About Me:
I am a divorce consultant with a 17 year history of helping others as a chiropractor. I am now broadening my scope of practice to help women powerfully manage the transition of divorce and beyond. My consulting work started with my own divorce experience that prompted me to write my book "Congratulations on Your Divorce - The Road to Finding Your Happily Ever After"

I remember asking myself, "How did I get here? Now what?" Having to deal with the legal, financial and emotional aspects of divorce at a time when you feel alone, scared and vulnerable can be paralyzing. I can help.

As your advocate, I will educate you on the business of divorce - helping to minimze the confusion, stress and expense involved in your process. As a chiropractor, I will teach you how to heal your mind, body and spirit as you learn to "move on" into your new life. Together we can powerfully transition through your process.

All the best to you,
Dr. Amy Botwinick

Dr. Amy:

I am interested in your views on "mind, body and spirit" in the divorce business. Can we talk about it some time?

21st Century Parenting Plans

I remember when the default custody arrangement had one parent as the custodial parent, and the other parent was known as the “Disneyland parent.” They had their children every other weekend, and maybe once during the week for dinner. Today it is more common to see joint parenting time consist of one week on, and one week off or “two-two-five-five” time,…See More

Including a Financial Professional in Your Mediation

Very often, couples who are divorcing amicably, or who have straightforward financial situations, will forgo meeting with a financial professional while they go through mediation. Though this may seem logical on its face, “going it alone” may result in unnecessary hardship and inaccurate calculations.  It is easy to simply look at a tax table today and say “I am going…See More
